Fonte Santa Chapel
Built in the 18th century, rectangular in shape and made of rubble stone, it is a typical representation of a rural Galician temple.
Mill, chapel, fountain and river shape the place of “Fonte Santa”, where time seems to have paused to show us the ancient times.
The little chapel, somewhat hidden in the middle of the oak grove, together with the fountain and the mill, forms an environment where the pagan and Christian practices of miracles and healings are always present.
According to popular sayings, the spring stopped flowing when someone wanted to make money by charging those who needed it to regain their health and get rid of illness.
All kinds of miracles and healing properties are ascribed to the spring. Its waters are said to heal burns, whet the appetite and take away sorrows.
